The One Where Cardboard Checks and Tears Flowed



The (literal) cardboard dust has settled and giant cardboard checks have been in our classrooms for almost a week! You would think our excitement levels would have done the same but we are just as excited as ever! We could really wear “Ask Me About the Cardboard Challenge” buttons for the rest of the year. 




Yes, You read that correctly a second ago, giant cardboard checks. My students swept the upper elementary category taking home 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place! Each time a new campus building was slowly announced our class went wild! They all TRULY felt like winners! And that’s not my “everyone gets a trophy and a medal philosophy” — because that is sooo not my philosophy. Ever ;) 





Plenty of previous blogs have been devoted to the process and benefits of our cardboard challenge so I will take the rest of this time to share their AMAZING projects and heartfelt reflections.
